Risks

What can go wrong, and what Scrible cannot undo.

Read this before you launch or buy

Memecoins are speculative. Prices can fall to near zero. Only use funds you can afford to lose. Nothing in these docs is financial advice.

Everything is final#

  • Launches cannot be undone. The name, ticker, media, pair, and tax are permanent.
  • Inscribed media is public and permanent. Nobody can remove it.
  • Trades cannot be reversed. A first buy cannot be refunded.
  • Funds sent to a token or hook address by mistake cannot be recovered. There is no admin recovery function.

Smart contract risk#

The contracts have no upgrade path and no admin withdrawal. That also means a bug cannot be patched in place. A fix needs a new factory, and existing tokens stay on the old contracts.

The contracts have not had an independent audit. VERIFY

Market risk#

  • The curve has no floor beyond its real reserves. Heavy selling drops the price fast.
  • Early buyers can sell into later buyers.
  • The creator can hold a large share from the first buy, up to 5% on the current factory.
  • The trade tax applies to every sell too, so a quick round trip loses at least twice the tax.

Pair risk#

  • USD values are estimates from price feeds. Stock feeds do not update outside market hours.
  • Price feeds can lag or fail. The curve price onchain is what trades settle at.

Wallet and app risk#

  • Always read the transaction in your wallet before you sign.
  • A failed RPC call does not mean a transaction failed. Keep the explorer link and check it.
  • Drafts, pending launches, and staged upload progress live in your browser only. Clearing site data removes them. Onchain state is not affected.
  • The explorer logo lives on IPFS through Pinata. If it goes offline, wallets may show no logo. The inscription is not affected.

Not affiliated#

Scrible is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Robinhood or Uniswap.
